An exciting event for Melbourne Beach is coming up very soon:
The 28th Annual Pineapple Man Triathlon!

The event will be held on Sunday June 2nd.

Back in 1985 members of the Melbourne Beach Rotary Club put together the first triathlon in the area. After quarter of a century of racing, the Rotary Pineapple Man™ holds the record for the oldest, continuously held sprint triathlon in Florida. Swim from the historic Melbourne Beach Pier in the Indian River Lagoon. Run through peaceful beachside neighborhoods. And, bike one of the best bike courses in Florida — 15 miles on A1A, beside nature preserves, parks, and the beach where Europeans first set foot on the place they would call ‘Florida’.

The best part? The race begins and ends right across the street from the SeaGlass Inn at Ryckman Park! We already have guests staying with us who will be participating in the race. Whether you will be racing or just want to watch this exciting event, this SeaGlass Inn is the perfect place to stay!
