The Lunar Eclipse in April 2014

The Lunar Eclipse in April 2014

Be sure to set your alarms extra early tonight! Early tomorrow morning is this year’s last total lunar Eclipse. Guests at the SeaGlass Inn are headed across the street tomorrow to the riverside Ryckman Park to watch the eclipse setting over the river. The moon should begin passing into the Earth’s darkest part of shadow at around 5:00 AM, and by 6:00 the entire moon should have taken on a rich, golden red color. It promises to be a remarkable sight and a very poetic way to start a new month.

For our weekend guests, in honor of the still-bright moon, Sand on the Beach, a local restaurant just down the street from us, has scheduled a Full moon party for Saturday. We look forward to joining the fun and we hope you will join us for it. In the meanwhile, happy moon-watching and best wishes.

Hoping to see you soon,

— Your Innkeepers
