For those of you who are sad that Valentines Day has come and gone and you’re missing an excuse to devour all the chocolate you possibly can, have no fear!
This Sunday, March 6th is the 12th Annual Chocolate Festival! Hosted by the Zonta Club of Melbourne, this chocolate festival will showcase local chocolatiers creations and those in attendance will be able to sample each entry and vote for “Brevard’s Best Chocolate Fix”. Some of the competitors include Yellow Dog Cafe, Keiser University, Garffiti Zoo, Matt’s Casbah, and Grimaldi’s! Here at The SeaGlass Inn, we have been lucky enough to sample one of the entries and we must say, it will definitely knock your socks off! As if sampling some of the best chocolate treats in the county isn’t enough, there will also be a chocolate buffet! The best part is that there is no need to feel badly about spending the day stuffing your face with delicious chocolate, because it’s for a good cause! The Zonta Club’s mission is to advance the status of women globally, nationally, and locally. The proceeds from this event will help go towards local scholarship programs, community service projects, and Zonta’s local and international campaign against Human Trafficking and Violence Against Women! Along with endless amounts of chocolate, the event will include “Art in the Park”, showcasing local artists, raffle baskets, and entertainment.
The event is on March 6th from 11am-4pm and will be located in the Melbourne Auditorium. Tickets for general admission are $25 (Although if you buy your tickets today you can get $5 off!). For $35 you can get admission with a kick which includes wine and chocolate martinis! For more information or to buy tickets click here. Also check out the event on Facebook.
